Coaches

Each coach sets an example for players and spectators. Recognizing the responsibility to be a proper role model, the coach is required to:

• Know and abide by the playing rules at all times.
• Instruct your players in the rules and direct each player to play according to the rules at all times.
• Teach each player, especially through personal example, to be humble and generous in victory and courteous in defeat.
• Maintain emotional control, avoiding actions, foul language, or gestures which may be considered abusive, hostile, or humiliating.
• Respect the referees and refrain from disrespectful behavior. Address referees directly during injuries or between periods.
• Respect the coaches and players of both teams during the play of the game and at its conclusion, win or lose.
• Ensure that the team’s supporters conduct themselves with sportsmanship and maturity at all times while at game sites.
• Instruct team support personnel (assistant coach or manager) in their responsibilities in accordance with established rules and regulations.
• Ensure that all school or park rules and regulations are followed by the players and spectators at both practices and games.

Players

Each player will compete fairly and to the limit of his or her ability. Recognizing this responsibility, the player is required to:

• Show up early for all practices and games, so the coach will not be kept waiting. Listen to the coach, and abide by his/her decisions.
• Respect the game officials and do not speak to them or comment on their decisions during the game.
• Know and abide by the rules at all times. Play hard, but fair. Maintain emotional control, avoiding abusive language or profanity.
• Respect the coaches and players of both teams at all times. At the conclusion of a game, be humble and generous in victory or courteous in defeat.
• Follow all school rules and regulations, respecting at all times the property of others.
• Only the Team Captains may speak directly to the officials to request the official time or to clarify an official’s ruling.

Spectators

Each spectator will ensure that his or her conduct, while in attendance at practices or games, reflects courtesy, sportsmanship, good citizenship, and a positive example for the players at all times. To meet these responsibilities, spectators are expected to:

• Respect the coach’s decisions. All families and guest spectators are the responsibility of the assigned coach, under the authority of the referee.
• Respect the game officials and refrain from questioning their decisions or addressing them in a loud, disrespectful, or abusive manner.
• Cheer for their team in a positive manner, refraining from hostile, negative, or abusive remarks about the game’s participants.
• Enter the field quietly during the playing of the preceding game. Do not come onto the field or throw objects onto the field.
• Demonstrate appropriate gestures of sportsmanship at the conclusion of a game, win or lose.

Entrenadores

Cada entrenador es un ejemplo para los jugadores y espectadores. Asumiendo la responsabilidad de ser un modelo adecuado, el entrenador debe:

1. Conocer y acatar las reglas de juego en todo momento.
2. Instruir a sus jugadores en las reglas y dirigir a cada jugador para jugar de acuerdo a ellas en todo momento.
3. Enseñar a cada jugador, sobre todo a través del ejemplo personal, a ser humilde y generoso en la victoria y cortés en la derrota.
4. Mantener el control emocional, evitando malas acciones, lenguaje obsceno o gestos que puedan considerarse abusivos, hostiles y humillantes.
5. Respetar a los árbitros y abstenerse de comportamientos irrespetuosos. Seguir sus indicaciones durante lesiones o entre períodos.
6. Respetar a los entrenadores y jugadores de ambos equipos durante el juego y al concluir, ya sea en la victoria o la derrota.
7. Asegurarse de que los aficionados de los equipos se comporten con deportividad y madurez en todo momento. Todos los asistentes son responsabilidad del entrenador, bajo la autoridad del árbitro.
8. Instruir al personal auxiliar del equipo (asistentes o managers) en sus responsabilidades conforme a las reglas establecidas.
9. Cumplir con todas las normas en escuelas o canchas, incluyendo recoger basura, estacionarse correctamente y no llevar animales al campo.

Jugadores

Cada jugador competirá de manera justa y hasta el límite de su capacidad. Reconociendo esta responsabilidad, debe:

• Llegar temprano a prácticas y juegos para no hacer esperar al entrenador. Escuchar y acatar sus decisiones.
• Respetar a los árbitros y no hablarles ni comentar sobre sus decisiones durante el juego.
• Conocer y cumplir con las reglas. Jugar duro pero limpio. Mantener el control emocional y evitar lenguaje ofensivo o gestos irrespetuosos.
• Respetar a entrenadores y jugadores de ambos equipos. Al final del juego, ser humilde en la victoria y cortés en la derrota.
• Seguir las reglas de la escuela y respetar la propiedad ajena.
• Solo los capitanes pueden dirigirse al árbitro para aclaraciones o pedir la hora oficial.

Espectadores

Cada espectador debe comportarse con cortesía, deportividad y buen ejemplo durante prácticas y juegos. Se espera que:

• Respeten las decisiones del entrenador. Todas las familias y espectadores están bajo su responsabilidad y la autoridad del árbitro.
• Respeten a los árbitros y no cuestionen sus decisiones ni les hablen de forma irrespetuosa.
• Animen de forma positiva, evitando comentarios hostiles o negativos.
• No entren al campo durante otros juegos ni arrojen objetos.
• Muestren gestos apropiados de deportividad al final del juego, ganen o pierdan.
